Building Condition Surveyor (Short-Term Contract)

📍 Location: West London

💰 Day Rate: £400 a day

🗓️ Contract: 3 months initially

The Opportunity

We are urgently seeking an experienced Building Condition Surveyor to undertake a short-term assignment, with an initial duration of three months and the possibility of extension. The role will focus on surveying and assessing building condition and compliance across a diverse property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out building condition surveys across a range of properties, including student accommodation and related facilities.
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, required remedial works, and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with current building safety regulations, including HRB (Higher-Risk Buildings) standards.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure accurate and timely delivery of survey results.
  • Support any immediate health and safety or maintenance requirements identified during surveys.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Building Condition Surveyor or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building safety regulations, particularly HRB requirements.
  • Background in education, student accommodation, local authority housing, or housing associations is highly desirable.
  • Excellent report‑writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines.
