Overview

Our Client is a very well established Specialist Main Contractor. This Client's business concerns the fitout and refurbishment of large buildings, principally located in the Home counties, along the M4 and M3 corridor and locations suiting the Technology and life sciences hubs around Oxford. This is a large company and they are looking for several people in this broad region. They are looking for an M&E Building Services Manager (either Mechanical or Electrically biased). This role is sometimes referred to as a Technical Services Manager (TSM), or Building Services Manager (BSM) for Fitout Contractors.

You will be controlling the M&E Installation on Projects, taking projects from inception to completion. Previous fast-track M&E Management Installation experience within a fit out or refurbishment environment for a fitout contractor would be ideal; however, our client will also consider project managers with a stable background working on decent projects with an M or E sub-contractor looking to move across to a main contractor.

We are looking for someone who is a good communicator, who is good at getting the best out of subcontractors and specialists on sites and who can build strong relationships. You could be Mechanically or Electrically Biased, but should have a good understanding of both disciplines.

  • Ensure technical integrity, safety, and quality across M&E disciplines for fitout and refurbishment projects.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous fast-track M&E management/installation experience within a fitout or refurbishment environment for a fitout contractor is ideal.
  • Alternatively, consider project managers with a stable background on decent projects with an M or E sub-contractor looking to move to a main contractor.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively to achieve project goals.
  • Ability to understand both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
