Role: Building Safety Officer

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:50 pm

Worker Type: Hybrid mixture of site, office, and home working

Salary: Grade H £40,777 to £44,075 per annum

Location: Base office Harvey Road, Nottingham, NG8 3BB

About the Role

Nottingham City Council Housing Services is seeking a proactive and detail-focused Building Safety Officer to join our team. In this hybrid role, you will deliver NCCs building safety agenda across a diverse housing portfolio throughout Nottingham.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain building safety documentation and the Golden Thread of information
  • Conduct inspections, monitor contractors, and ensure compliance with building safety policies
  • Engage with residents, providing updates, responding to concerns, and delivering training through meetings, forums, and workshops
  • Support fire safety strategies, including fire door inspections, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems

Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and emergency services.
