We're currently working in partnership with a Housing Association operating across the South West, who are seeking a Building Safety Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. The role is available for an immediate start and offers a salary of £27,790 per year.

The position covers an area between Plymouth and Bournemouth, and the successful candidate will need to be willing to travel across this patch. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):
  • Carrying out and recording weekly fire alarm checks across buildings in across a patch of homeless shelters
  • Completing fire door inspections, corridor clearance checks, and emergency lighting checks, ensuring all buildings remain safe and compliant.
  • Supporting with accurate and up-to-date property and asset compliance, helping to ensure systems are effectively maintained.
  • Working with the Asset Management Team to improve existing systems and software, streamlining processes and enhancing performance.
  • Contributing to delivering a strong customer-focused service by managing correspondence, resolving enquiries promptly, and maintaining a professional approach at all times
