Job description

Building Control Surveyor needed in Southampton, £403.89 per day

PAYE - 5274866

BSR at Class 2

Apply building regulation requirements and associated legislation to a range of projects to ensure a safe, accessible, and sustainable built environment.

Responsibilities include:

1. Participating in the achievement and maintenance of efficient and effective quality services, including marketing initiatives.
2. Administering and enforcing the Building Regulations and related legislation.
3. Carrying out site inspections for compliance with regulatory and policy standards.
4. Applying current building regulations (Approved Documents) to ensure standards on construction sites, staying updated on technical requirements.
5. Maintaining inspection records, preparing reports, attending meetings, and providing evidence as needed, using computerised systems.
6. Reporting contraventions or departures from approved plans, Approved Documents, or planning consent conditions to the Principal Building Control Surveyor.

This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
