A local government authority in the UK is seeking an experienced individual to manage domestic and commercial applications, ensure compliance with regulations, and mentor junior staff. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be registered with the Building Safety Regulator. You will manage a range of domestic and commercial applications, contribute to the team on a wide range of related activities including dealing with dangerous structures, enforcement and advising on demolitions. You will train and mentor junior staff, where necessary under supervision, to ensure the service grows its talent pool and develops staff of the future. You will participate in an out of hours dangerous structure standby rota for which you will be paid additional monies. You will work within the services adopted Quality Management System, keeping records, ensuring compliance with current operating standard rules and codes of conduct.
