Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for a Business Unit Technical Manager to join an established Data Centre division supporting with multiple accounts nationally. Successful candidates will have a proven track record in mechanical and electrical maintenance engineering and excellent interpersonal skills. You will be electrically qualified with a proven track record (preferably) operating in Data Centre Environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite operations teams and clients with technical SME support.
  • Drive operational excellence across all data centres.
  • Promote risk management culture and lead the adoption and ongoing compliance with the DCS Shield program including CBRE risk management processes.
  • Proactively develop and implement risk reduction strategies to minimise risk and maximise uptime, ensuring risk registers and effective mitigations plans are in place.
  • Asset management focusing on asset data quality, FMRs and optimising maintenance strategies.
  • Incident management including root cause analysis / post problem reviews and producing incident reports and lessons learned documentation.
  • Act as Senior Authorised Person for HV / LV and confined space.
  • Undertake technical compliance audits and reviews.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc internal and external technical reports as required.
  • Mentor contract based technical managers, engineering operations managers and account leads in ensuring engineering best practice is adopted across the business unit.
  • Lead apprenticeship and technical training programs to enhance the development and competency of operational teams.
  • Provide technical SME support to project and business development teams.
  • Liaise and work in partnership with the QHSE team.
  • Engage with the business unit leadership team to support the business unit growth strategy.
