Paramount Production Tech, is hiring a Broadcast Video Editor

This positionis responsible forusing an excellent video editing skillset to comply a varied mixture of genre content for Channel 5 (both linear and VOD) whilstshowcasinga high levelof complianceexpertise.

What will you be doing?

Edit a wide variety of Channel 5 contentin accordance withcompliance standards.

Utilize effects packages (Boris FX, Red Giant VFX) and audio editing tools to enhance content quality.

Manage media projects effectively using Avid Nexis.

Apply your knowledge of broadcast technical standards to ensure all specifications are met.

Collaborate with the team to perform quality checks,utilizingboth manual review and automated QC systems.

Solve technical challenges, including PSE corrections and QC adjustments, to meet broadcast timelines.

Apply a comprehensive understanding of Ofcom regulations to all editing work.

What are we looking for?

Proficiencyin video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro and Avid Media Composer .

A keen eye for quality control and familiarity with reading automated QC system reports (such as BATON).

Experience preparing content for broadcast via build edits.

Experience atpreviousbroadcasting company with knowledge of DPP as well as creating AS11 files

Solid knowledge of Ofcom regulations and how they apply to broadcast content.

Previousexperience working within the post-production industry.

Ability to work a 7-day fortnight schedule.

Someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, agile environment.

Comfortable working autonomously on projects whilemaintainingopen communication with the wider team.

A proactive approach to problem-solving and taking ownership of your edits.
