Set amidst the rolling Staffordshire countryside, we offer guests an unforgettable experience from serene spa days and beautiful gardens to exquisite dining in a refined setting.

At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to delivering exceptional service and creating lasting memories. We pride ourselves on fostering a positive, nurturing workplace where passion, professionalism, and personal development are celebrated.

The Role

We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team. In this role, you'll take charge of preparing and presenting high‑quality breakfast dishes, ensuring guests start their day with an exceptional dining experience. Working closely with the Head and Sous Chefs, you’ll uphold the highest culinary and hygiene standards while helping to maintain smooth kitchen operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who thrives in early shifts, values teamwork, and has a passion for delivering memorable meals through quality ingredients and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and presenting buffet and à la carte breakfast items to a consistently high standard.
  • Ensuring food quality, taste, and presentation meet our exacting expectations.
  • Following all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations with absolute consistency.
  • Working efficiently under pressure to ensure timely service during peak breakfast hours.
  • Assisting in managing stock levels, storage, and ingredient freshness.
  • Supporting the Head Chef with kitchen organisation, cleaning routines, and compliance documentation.
  • Contributing to menu planning by suggesting seasonal or creative breakfast dishes.
  • Collaborating with front‑of‑house staff to deliver a seamless guest experience.
About You
Essential
  • Have previous experience in a similar role within a quality‑focused kitchen, hotel, or resort.
  • Have a genuine passion for food, particularly breakfast service and presentation.
  • Have experience working with high volumes while maintaining consistency.
  • Have excellent team spirit and communication skills.
  • Have a sound knowledge of food hygiene regulations (Level 2 Food Safety Certificate or higher).
  • Have the ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast‑paced, early‑morning kitchen environment.
  • Have physical stamina for long shifts and the ability to stand for extended periods.
Desirable
  • Hold a NVQ or equivalent in Professional Cookery.
  • Have knowledge of modern breakfast trends and dietary requirements.
  • Have previous experience in luxury hotels or spa environments.
Shift Pattern
  • Full‑time: 45 hours per week
  • 5 days out of 7, including weekends and holidays
  • Typical shift: 0600hrs – 1530hrs
  • Being flexible is essential to support business needs and operational coverage.
Additional Information
  • Please note that due to our rural location, there are no public transport links, therefore access to your own reliable mode of transportation is strongly recommended.
  • At this time, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship, so candidates must have the right to work in the UK independently.
Why Join Us?
  • Competitive salary
  • Complimentary use of spa and leisure facilities
  • Free staff lunch from our on‑site canteen
  • Complimentary Spa Day on your work anniversary
  • Discounts on overnight stays and spa days
  • 30% discount on food and drink
  • Free on‑site parking
  • Refer a friend scheme
  • Access to an employee assistance programme
  • Comprehensive induction and ongoing training
  • A fun, supportive, and inclusive work environment with development opportunities
