Breakfast & After School Club Leader

Location: Tonbridge (based at Horsmonden Primary Academy, TN12)

Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday–Friday (mornings & afternoons)

Pay: £12.50 – £13.50 per hour

Contract: Permanent, term‑time only

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Club Manager to lead our breakfast and after‑school provision at a primary school in Horsmonden.

This is a hands‑on role where you will run the day‑to‑day operation of the club, support a small team, and make sure children are safe, happy, and well cared for before and after the school day.

This role would suit someone who enjoys responsibility, working with children, and being part of a school community.

What you will be doing
  • Managing the daily running of the breakfast and after‑school club
  • Leading and supporting a small team of playworkers
  • Planning and delivering fun, age‑appropriate activities
  • Making sure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed
  • Being the main point of contact for parents and school staff
  • Completing basic admin such as registers and stock checks
  • Creating a safe, welcoming environment for children aged 4–11

This is a hands‑on role — you will be involved in delivery as well as leadership.

What we are looking for
Essential
  • Experience working with children in a school, childcare or play setting
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience (or ready to step up)
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child safety
  • Confident communication skills
  • Reliable and well organised
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check
Desirable (but not essential)
  • A childcare or playwork qualification
  • First Aid, Safeguarding or Food Hygiene certificates

Full training will be provided.
