Job Overview

We are looking for a Brand Developer / Merchandiser for a leading independent supplier of building materials who sell through builders merchants and other distribution channels. This is an interesting promotional role with a good degree of autonomy and could be a stepping stone to an area sales role. You will deal with current stockists of high‑quality building products, giving you a warm, customer‑facing position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visit builders merchants, stockists, contractors and other distribution channels to promote the product and provide product knowledge to both potential customers and merchants.
  • Set up merchandising displays and ensure they are correctly stocked and compliant with visual standards.
  • Check displays during visits and keep up to date with new products the company offers.
  • Provide the merchants with product information and support, acting as a credible source of technical information.
  • Represent the brand at events, brief builders merchants and keep them informed of the company's initiatives.
  • Work remotely as needed and manage own schedule, including occasional overnight stays with provided hotel accommodation.
Qualifications
  • Experience selling to or working within the building materials or construction supplies sector, especially with builders merchants.
  • Background in merchandising or marketing for construction supply environments.
  • Strong customer‑service and sales background, with an outgoing personality and credibility.
  • Good knowledge of building product ranges and willingness to learn new products.
  • Ability to travel within the region and work independently.
