Job summary

A long established and growing business in Flint is seeking an individual for part-time accounting duties, initially 2 days per week with the potential for more hours. Responsibilities include processing customer payments and invoices using Xero, maintaining accounting records, and generating management reports. Ideal candidates should have experience in financial recordkeeping and be detail-oriented.

  • Experience with accounting software, preferably Xero.
  • Ability to manage financial records and reconciliations.

Overview

This is a great opportunity to join a long established and growing business, where you will have the opportunity to have a stable career. The role will initially be 2 days per week (times/days can be flexible) and this can grow overtime for those wishing for more hours.

Responsibilities
  • Record customer payments and allocate to invoices
  • Process invoices received into Xero
  • Process bills received into Xero
  • Process bank transactions (e.g. using bank feeds or manual reconciliation)
  • Maintain and update accounting records (Xero)
  • Chase outstanding payments (light credit control)
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Update cash flow forecasts
  • Prepare and send out customer statements
  • Generate management reports (P&L, balance sheet, etc.)
  • Process staff expense claims
