A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a BMS Engineer - Design to develop comprehensive designs for building control systems in a hybrid working environment. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in electrical and mechanical systems and be adept at interpreting specifications for various building types. Responsibilities include creating design documents and ensuring effective collaboration with team members and external suppliers. A minimum HNC qualification in a relevant discipline is required and knowledge of leading manufacturers like Siemens and Honeywell is preferred.
Role: BMS Engineer - Design
Location: London - Hybrid working
Duration: 12 month initial contract
Pay Rate: £400-£450 P/day OUTSIDE IR35
The BMS design engineer should fully understand the engineering requirements of building control systems for a range of building types, varying in complexity. Candidates will need a thorough understanding of both mechanical and electrical building systems and be able to work autonomously. The role will require experience of interpreting customer specifications to develop comprehensive designs and scope packages for individual disciplines including panel design, hardware configuration, field equipment, software configuration, graphic packages as well as installation and commissioning scope. Candidates must also be prepared to work flexibly as part of the team and be pro‑active with modern technologies and best practice.
