Your impact

In this newly created role you will gain the opportunity to join a growing team responsible for the design, development and delivery of sludge treatment processes including our own Jacobs Bioresources process technologies, throughout their lifecycle from strategic concept stage through feasibility, engineering, installation, acceptance testing, reliability, performance trials and asset management.

Scope and remit
  • Strategy and consulting.
  • Environmental and economic regulation.
  • FEED – Front‑end engineering design of solids handling, municipal sewage sludge treatment digesters, pre‑treatment processes and associated equipment.
  • Engineering analysis and modelling.
  • Detail design.
  • Asset management and planning.
Eligibility and experience

To meet our growth plans, a number of opportunities have been created and as such we would be delighted to hear from candidates coming from bioresources, wastewater, composting, food waste, municipal solid waste or food processing industries, with a blend of the following experience:

  • Biomass processing.
  • Design of digesters, pre‑treatment or associated equipment.
  • Design of solids handling processes, odour control, composting, drying, biosolids and aerobic processes, anaerobic digestion.
  • Design of municipal sewage sludge treatment facilities.
  • Emissions to air mitigation.
  • Design of odour control and abatement systems.
  • Odour/methane emissions modelling and sampling.
  • Relevant academic qualifications, such as a bachelor’s degree or higher in a subject such as chemical or mechanical engineering.
