Key Responsibilities
  • Processing, analysing, and interpreting NGS data.
  • Selectingappropriate statisticalapproaches; articulatingassumptions/limitations; interpretingresults in biological and experimental context.
  • Contributingcode in Python and/or R for statistical analysis and visualisation of complex and large datasets.
  • Working closely with biologists and other bioinformaticians to design, develop and support target identification and target validation plans.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • PhD in computational biology or a related area, orBSc/MSc with equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience supporting discovery-stage research in anacademic drug discovery centre or industrial biotech/pharma setting(e.g., target identification/validation, biomarker work, translational genomics, or similar).
  • Experience with Next Generation Sequencingplatforms and/or“multi-omics” datasets.
  • Familiarity with common bioinformatic databases and tools including major public genetic and genomic data repositories.
  • Programming and statistical data analysis andvisualisation experience in R or Python, with an understanding of standard supporting tools (NextFlow, Git, etc.).
