Job description

Working as a member of a supportive finance function for a successful and growing Legal firm based in the centre of Leeds this role will work as part of an established Billing team and will report directly to the Billings Manager.

This is an evolving position that will grow and develop as the successful individual grows with the business with the opportunity to take on additional responsibility and play a key part in ensuring the finance function operates as smooth as possible.

Initial duties will include:

• Bill processing via Paperless Proforma.
• Departmental mailbox queries, including write offs, transfers and general billing queries.
• Raising credit notes and reissuing invoices within the system.
• Liaising with the Client Cashiers team in relation to anticipating disbursements.
• Liaising with Compliance for CDD and other billing/tax related issues.

Skills and experience required:

• Previous experience of working in a legal accounting environment or Billing environment.
• Previous legal billing experience required.
• Strong VAT knowledge is essential.
• Hard working, good team ethos, also able to work on own initiative.
• Flexible approach to work required during busy periods.
