Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant – Full-Time

Location: Sunderland

Pay: £90–£110 per day

Contract: Full-Time

This Behaviour Support TA role is based in a specialist setting supporting pupils who have struggled in mainstream education.

You’ll work with young people who need structure, boundaries and adults they can trust. Progress may be gradual, but it is meaningful.

Key responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural needs
  • Helping manage challenging behaviour using positive strategies
  • Supporting pupils during lessons and unstructured times
  • Encouraging emotional regulation and reflection
  • Being a consistent, reliable presence each day

Ideal for someone with experience in SEN, youth work, care or behaviour support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
