Behaviour Mentor – Reading

Are you passionate about helping young people manage their behaviour, emotions, and mental wellbeing? Do you want to make a real difference in a specialist education setting?

A supportive and forward-thinking SEMH school in Reading is seeking a resilient and empathetic Behaviour Mentor to join their team. This full-time role is ideal for graduates or experienced support staff who are keen to gain hands-on experience working with children who face emotional, behavioural, and mental health challenges.

As a Behaviour Mentor you will support students aged 11–18, many of whom have experienced trauma, disrupted education, or difficulties with emotional regulation. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff, you will help promote positive behaviour, de‑escalate challenging situations, and support students in developing healthy coping strategies within a structured and nurturing environment.

  • Role: Behaviour Mentor
  • Location: Reading
  • Salary: £89–£100 per day
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
  • Start Date: ASAP
