Job summary

A leading education provider is seeking experienced Behaviour Mentors to support Year 5 students in Colchester's primary schools. The role includes working closely with children with special educational needs, assisting in lesson delivery, and implementing tailored behaviour strategies. Ideal candidates will demonstrate patience, confidence, and a strong understanding of behaviour strategies, backed by necessary safeguarding checks.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional or behavioural needs.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom routines.
• Help implement personalised behaviour management plans.
• Build trust and consistency with students through daily interactions.
• Promote a calm and focused learning environment.
