The Department of Finance and Computer Science at the University of Winchester is currently seeking a Lecturer in Computer Science & Cyber Security. The successful candidate will be joining a department whose strategy is rooted in providing an inclusive, empowering, and transformative education to our students and delivering an interdisciplinary education agenda that yields fresh and sustainable contributions with impact. We also engage with business and society to help them shape talent and flourish sustainably.
The Department of Finance and Computer Science, one of two Departments within the Faculty, hosts a range of increasingly successful UG and PG courses that are growing in student numbers.
The ideal candidate will have teaching experience in subjects including, but not limited to Computer Science, Software Engineering and Cyber Security with a particular focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computer Architecture, Distributed Systems, Machine Learning, Server, Data, Centres and Smart Systems and will have supervised dissertations at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The post-holder will be an excellent communicator and be a team‑player.
An interest in, and a capacity for programme management is desirable as well as a commitment to the successful employability of our students. Experience of module management is essential as the candidate will be responsible for module leadership of a range of modules in Computer Science programmes.
