We are seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth across the South of England, covering key logistics and innovation corridors including the Oxford-Cambridge arc and the M1, M3, and M4 regions.
This is a mid-senior role for a proven sales professional within freight forwarding, fulfilment, and logistics, joining a fast-growing, agile organisation that combines global Air, Ocean, and Multimodal freight with modern fulfilment and eCommerce logistics solutions.
You’ll be responsible for winning new business, developing strategic client partnerships, and positioning the business as a trusted logistics partner across high‑growth sectors including Pharma & Life Sciences, Aerospace & Defence, Industrials, eCommerce, Lifestyle and Athleisure brands.
Package: £50,000-£65,000 basic salary, uncapped commission/bonus, car allowance or company car, 25 days holiday rising to 30 days with service, private healthcare, pension, ongoing professional development.

Build senior‑level relationships and convert opportunities into long‑term, profitable contracts.
Design tailored logistics solutions combining air, ocean, multimodal freight, customs, bonded warehousing, fulfilment, and value‑added services.
Lead tenders, pricing, and RFPs with a strong focus on ROI, compliance, and service excellence.
Grow accounts through cross‑selling wider services including e‑fulfilment, last‑mile, returns, and value‑added logistics.
Track competitor activity, regulatory changes (Brexit, customs, trade lanes), and market trends.
Report on sales performance, pipeline health, GP contribution, and account growth.
5–15 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management within freight forwarding, contract logistics, or fulfilment.
Strong understanding of air and ocean freight, customs, and supply chain solutions.
Proven track record of winning new business in a competitive logistics market.
Sector exposure to Pharma, Aerospace / Defence, Industrials, eCommerce, or Lifestyle brands highly desirable.
Commercially sharp, confident at senior level, and relationship‑driven.
Self‑motivated and comfortable managing a wide regional territory.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Professional qualifications such as FIATA, CILT, GDP, or AEO are advantageous but not essential.
