Job description

We are looking for an experienced Bartender to join The Roof Gardens for the Summer season of the Spanish Gardens. As a member of our front-of-house service team, you will be helping deliver a world class drinks offer, alongside a highly trained, charismatic team whose collective goal is to deliver excellence to our members and create drinks which are immaculately and imaginatively executed.

Responsibilities
  • Exceptional Service: Greet customers by name, provide welcoming atmosphere and learn their preferences to deliver excellent service, taking note on allergies and other critical information. Communicate with colleagues across the club as needed.
  • Service Standards: Produce beautiful hot and cold drinks for members following agreed recipes and SOPs, ensuring impeccable presentation and efficient service.
  • Inventory Management: Assist team with stock-taking and inventories, anticipate periods of peak demand and large-scale events for additional supplies. Follow instructions from line manager regarding reporting, record-keeping, compliance, health & safety standards, and drinks inventory management.
  • Team Player: Contribute creative ideas to team meetings. Attend tastings, training sessions, and supplier visits to enhance professional and personal development.
  • Maintenance & Operations: Keep bars spotlessly clean throughout shift, including maintenance of coffee machines, blenders, fridges, and other equipment. Manage overall bar and coffee operations as directed by line manager. Conduct MEP preparations before every service and always ensure well-stocked bar.
  • You will be proud to uphold the club's service standards, and deliver beautiful and delicious drinks, every time. We seek somebody with solid experience in high-end drinks service environments, an impeccable demeanour, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You should have a great eye for detail too and be conscientious in the execution of your duties.
  • Enthusiastic with lots of energy, able to stay composed under pressure.
  • Understanding of luxury lifestyle market and experience in fast-paced, multi-outlet businesses.
  • Focus on customer experience while performing duties.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to anticipate issues.
  • Excellent communicator with strong organisational skills.
  • Friendly demeanour, enjoys supporting colleagues to fulfil potential.
