Job summary

A reputable tutoring agency in Barnsley is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Tutor to assist students in their learning journey. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education or child care and must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of improving student performances. This role offers flexible working hours ranging from 5 to 40 hours per week, with a competitive pay rate of £20 to £30 per hour. Candidates must hold a Right to Work in the UK and have an enhanced DBS certificate.

Qualifications

• Experience in tutoring or teaching roles is preferred.
• Must have a Right to Work in the UK.
• DBS certificate on update service required.

Responsibilities

• Support students on a 1:1 basis to enhance their learning.

Position Details

• Position: 1:1 Tutor
• Start date: ASAP
• End date: Ongoing, open-ended
• Area: Barnsley
• Working hours: 5-40 hours per week (flexible)
• Pay Rate: GBP 20 - GBP 30 per hour

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• QTS (desired but not required) or previous experience of working with students on a 1:1 basis.
• Proven track record of improving students' performances.
• Team Teach Qualification highly desirable but not required.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable but not essential as safeguarding training is provided).
• DBS on update service.

Eligibility Requirements

• Hold Right to Work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional references from your previous two years of employment.
