Artemis Venue Services invites an experienced Drinks Operations Manager to lead our bar operations at a premier UK wedding venue. The role blends team leadership, menu innovation, and guest experience to elevate our bar program across 15 prestigious locations.

Responsibilities

• Team Management: Recruit, train, and inspire a passionate bar team, fostering a culture of professionalism and energy.
• Drinks Leadership: Curate and develop the drinks menu, from signature cocktails to seasonal specials, blending central stock suppliers and local provenance.
• Service Excellence: Ensure every guest receives exceptional service, blending efficiency with personality for a memorable experience.
• Stock & Financial Management: Oversee ordering, stock control, cost management, and till operations to achieve profitability.
• Health & Safety & Licensing: Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant bar environment, adhering to alcohol licensing laws and personal licence requirements.
• Event Coordination: Collaborate with the events team for seamless service during weddings and other events.
• Venue Support & Marketing: Support fellow bar managers at other premier venues when required and partner with marketing to promote the bar and special events.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of bar management experience in hospitality or events.
• Strong leadership skills, motivating a team and leading by example.
• Tech-savvy with proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Organised, efficient, and detail-oriented, managing multiple tasks and prioritising effectively.
• Financially savvy, experienced in managing budgets and driving sales.
• Knowledgeable in cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and bar equipment.
• Flexible, adaptable, and willing to work evenings, weekends, and peak wedding seasons.
• Own transport essential; eligible to work full-time in the UK.
• Required personal licence for overseeing alcohol service; willingness to become Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) if required.
