JOB DESCRIPTION Contract01. Permanent Start Date Place London, United Kingdom. MISSIONS Bar Manager - Garden Room The Lanesborough. Awarded No. 1 Hotel in London in the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards, on the doorstep of Hyde Park, just a short walk from Harrods, Harvey Nichols and London’s most exclusive shopping district; Sloane Street and Knightsbridge. The hotel is home to 93 luxurious suites and bedrooms, modern British dining at The Lanesborough Grill, the vibrant Library Bar and Garden Room and the magnificent Lanesborough Club & Spa. Oetker Collection Masterpiece Hotels. Garden Room – Geared towards cigar enthusiasts, The Garden Room at The Lanesborough adds some indoor assets to an outdoor space with a covered room, oak tables, a roaring fireplace, cosy furnishings, underfloor heating and blankets for cooler evenings. A walk-in humidor displays a wide range of cigars; accompany with Cognac.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Garden Room (Bar) team, delivering an exceptional guest experience.
  • Be fully conversant with menus/items and presentation accompaniments; make recommendations to guests.
  • During service, take ownership of the guest experience with emphasis on guest recognition and personalisation.
  • Communicate effectively between the team, the Kitchen brigade, and other department Heads of Department.
Qualifications
  • Managerial bar experience in a luxury establishment is essential; experience in London is desired.
  • Excellent command of the English language; a second language is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a team in a 5* luxury environment.
  • Immaculate grooming standards.
  • Proven track record of managing and developing a team.
  • Preferably excellent knowledge of spirits and cigars.
  • Confident with procedures such as performance reviews, recruitment and training.
  • Please note this role requires an element of manual handling.
