A leading healthcare organization in the UK is seeking a bank Specialty Doctor/GP to join their South Wiltshire Locality Hospital at Home service. The role involves clinical assessment, management of geriatric patients, and teamwork in a dynamic environment. Candidates should have full GMC registration, relevant medical experience, and strong communication skills. We have an exciting opportunity for a bank Specialty Doctor/ GP to join our South Wiltshire Locality Hospital at Homeservice. The service is currently undergoing an exciting period of transformation, making this an excellent time to become part of a dynamic and innovative team. Post will be based at either Amesbury, Wilton or Salisbury (with some remote working).
We are seeking a doctor to work6 sessions per week, with flexibility around working hours to meet the needs of the service. There may be occasional weekend working requirements.
The successful candidate will provide clinical assessment and management of patients, support the multidisciplinary team in delivering Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment, and promote safe and timely discharge through close collaboration with the MDT, patients, and their families.
Applicants should have experience in Geriatric Medicine, Acute Medicine, or General Medicine, with a strong background in working with patients living with frailty. While we ideally seek a full-time applicant, we are happy to consider part‑time arrangements (minimum of 5 sessions per week).

The Ideal Candidate
Full GMC registration, eligible to work in the UK
Experience at specialty registrar level or as a GP, with strong background in geriatric, acute, or general medicine, particularly frailty care
Sound knowledge of the NHS, clinical governance, health policy, and evidence‑based practice
Skilled in clear, accurate medical documentation (digital and manual); proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an empathetic and solutions‑focused approach
Reliable team player who values collaboration, trust, and quality care
Flexible, organised, and able to manage time, change, and competing priorities effectively
Resilient under pressure with good judgement, discretion, and professionalism
Committed to continuous learning and professional development
