A regional healthcare organization is seeking reliable and motivated Security guards to join their staff bank. This role offers competitive pay rates and flexible hours, allowing staff to work in various locations to meet demands. Applicants must be prepared to work a minimum of two shifts per month, with opportunities for enhanced pay during nights and weekends. The position will require a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management (NHFM) provides specialist project management, estates maintenance and a full range of facilities services. NHFML is a wholly owned subsidiary of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The successful applicant will be an employee of the subsidiary and not the NHS. Please note the terms and conditions are closely aligned to that of the NHS.
We require reliable, enthusiastic and motivated Security guards to join our bank to work within our hospital and community sites.
The Security department provide a variety of services to patients and departments, including maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff, the provision of a high quality, efficient customer orientated Security service and compliance with the Trust Patient Confidentiality Policy.
The post will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

As such we need to be able to respond quickly to meet demands caused by an increase in patient activity, staff holidays or illness. This is where our staff bank plays a vital role, providing service support 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

Standard hourly pay is approximately £12.51. We offer hourly pay enhancements for shifts covered at night and over the weekends. This equates to approximately £17.63 per hour on a Saturday or any weekday between 8pm and 6am, or £22.90 per hour on a Sunday or public holiday.
There are a variety of shifts across 7 days a week; there will be hours to suit all and the expectation is that you pick up a minimum of two shifts per month.
