Job summary

An exciting opportunity has occurred for an individual to support the current resuscitation service as a bank resuscitation officer. The successful candidate/candidates will work alongside the substantive resuscitation officers to deliver the Trust mandatory training.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate/candidates will deliver either Resuscitation Council UK Immediate Life Support and/or Paediatric Immediate Life Support, and Basic Life Support in line with CSFH level 2. The majority of these courses are run at either Carlisle or Whitehaven therefore the candidate base will be at either if these locations.

Qualifications Essential

  • Professional registration either: Registered Health Care Professional or Registered Nurse
  • ILS/PILS provider certificate
  • To have a degree or equivalent experience

Qualifications Desirable

  • RCUK European Advanced Paediatric Life Support Instructor (EPALS) or APLS Instructor
  • RCUK Advanced Life Support Instructor (ALS)
  • Intravascular Access Trained (Interosseous)

Knowledge Essential

  • Evidence and experience of teaching in present role
  • Significant post registration clinical experience supporting job description
  • Knowledge of current Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines
  • Evidence of continued professional development

Knowledge Desirable

  • Experience of simulation training and feedback enquiries.
  • Previous Resuscitation Officer experience.
