A leading healthcare organization in Greater London is seeking a Phlebotomist to provide essential venepuncture services to patients. This role involves collecting blood samples, ensuring correct labeling and packaging for laboratory transport, and maintaining high standards of hygiene. Ideal candidates will have GCSEs in English and Maths, NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, and relevant experience in a venepuncture service. Flexibility in working with housebound patients is required.
The role is intended to provide a venepuncture service to Patients of the E4 Network Network. This includes patients who can attend a clinic and also those who are housebound.
The Phlebotomist will work under the direction of the Clinical Director & the Network Service Delivery Team who will ensure a clean, comfortable and safe environment for service users
To collect blood samples from patients using Vacutainer orButterfly methods, ensuring that the correct colour bottles are used for each sample.
To collect blood samples from all allocated Housebound patients using Butterfly orVacutainer methods, ensuring the correct colour bottles are used for each sample
To correctly label all samples once taken and package them in the appropriate mannerready for transportation to the laboratory
To transport blood samples to the laboratory if and when required
To complete the NEL blood collection template detailing the samples collected from each patient

The E4 Primary Care Network Ltd. includes Chingford Medical Centre, ChurchillMedical Practice, The Old Church Surgery, The Ridgeway Surgery and HandsworthMedical Practice. The practices have a very strong relationship with oneanother.
We have an interesting and diverse population, ranging from the young tothe elderly. We also support over 300 residents who are living in local CareHomes.

To correctly label all samples once taken and package them in the appropriate manner ready for transportation to the laboratory
To transport blood samples to the laboratory if and when required - particularly following a housebound patient visit.
To complete the NEL blood collection template detailing the samples collected from each patient
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene to all working areas within the room and when visiting housebound patients ensuringthat you adhere to policies and procedures at all time
Maintain a weekly stock check for consumables and place orders accordingly
Be willing to undertake further training as required
Flexible approach to working as you may be required to deliver services to housebound patients or at other sites within our Primary Care Network.
