0-Hour Dental Nurse – Northamptonshire

We’re seeking a flexible 0-hour Dental Nurse to cover practices across Northamptonshire, including:

Harleston Road (essential Fridays, 8:30am–1:00pm), Victoria Promenade, Weston Favell, Woodview, Cedar Road, Dental Suite and The Elms.

Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence – essential
  • Flexibility to work across multiple sites

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Clinical Assistance – Support dentists during urgent procedures, prepare instruments, and help ensure patient comfort.
  • Practice Management – Maintain dental equipment and uphold practice protocols and policies.
  • Sterilisation and Infection Control – Lead on sterilisation and decontamination processes to create a safe, hygienic environment.
  • Administrative and Reception Duties – Manage patient records, accounts, and other administrative tasks.
  • Compliance – Assist the service manager in maintaining compliance with CQC standards and conduct surgery and emergency drug/equipment checks.
  • Patient Care – Reassure patients, explain procedures, and address their concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Professional Development – Keep your CPD up to date in line with our company training matrix.
  • Communication – Collaborate effectively with the dental team, patients, and other staff.
  • Stock Control – Manage inventory of dental supplies, materials, and conduct stock takes.
Skills and Attributes We’re Looking For
  • Qualified and GDC-registered (or pending registration) Dental Nurse.

  • Strong understanding of both Private and NHS dentistry and treatment options.

  • Demonstrates full understanding of GDC and regulatory responsibilities.
