Catering Services Operative – York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management

Shifts cover Monday to Sunday, 7am to 8pm, including weekends and bank holidays as and when required.

York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (YTHFM) are looking for an approachable and flexible Catering Services Operative to join our team in York. Experience is not necessary as full training will be given, but a willingness to learn and develop your skills is essential.


Duties


  • Delivering food to and serving patient food to the wards areas

  • Using ward ovens to regenerate food

  • Keeping the ward kitchen clean

  • Monitoring food temperatures as part of HACCP

  • Washing up and other general cleaning duties

  • Working in cold rooms to pick and seal patient food and also in pot wash


The ideal candidate will have catering experience, be fantastic with customers, a good team player and able to work on their own unsupervised. Full training will be provided. Enhanced rates apply when working at the weekend.
