A regional healthcare provider in Stockton-on-Tees is seeking a full-time Nurse Endoscopist to join their team. The role involves performing endoscopic procedures and supporting the management team. Required qualifications include being a registered nurse with advanced clinical skills and relevant education. This position offers flexible working arrangements and is part of a modern and innovative healthcare setting.
This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) offers flexible working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm. The post is band 8a for a fully JAG-accredited Nurse Endoscopist independent in colonoscopy. JAG accreditation in gastroscopy is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will carry out diagnostic and surveillance endoscopic procedures as well as cover nurse-led clinics. The post may be considered as developmental starting at band 7 with progression to band 8a once knowledge, skills and accreditation are obtained. The Endoscopy service is JAG accredited and based at two sites: Watford General Hospital and Hemel Hempstead Hospital.
The Endoscopy service comprises six state-of-the-art Endoscopy rooms across two sites. We have a well-established team of Nurse Endoscopists working with Gastroenterology Consultants and the wider MDT to deliver a range of services.
