Are you an experienced and motivated midwife with a passion for postnatal care? We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Band 7 Postnatal Ward Manager to lead our dedicated postnatal team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This is a key leadership role where you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the postnatal ward, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for women, newborns, and their families during the crucial postnatal period.

Your clinical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to excellence will be essential in driving safe, high-quality care, while supporting and developing your team.

Main duties of the job

Provide visible, approachable, and supportive leadership within the ward, ensuring both staff and service users feel confident and cared for.

Take overall responsibility for the management and coordination of the postnatal ward, promoting a positive and efficient working environment.

Support, supervise, and develop junior staff and students, encouraging professional growth and clinical excellence.

Champion a compassionate and collaborative culture, building strong multidisciplinary relationships and prioritising patient-centred care.
