Job description
Overview

A vacancy at Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust – Midwifery Education Team. This role is for a Recruitment and Retention Midwife, 50% clinical, responsible for innovative and supportive methods to focus on retention within the midwifery team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead on and coordinate recruitment and retention activities and associated administration for the Maternity Department.
  • Liaise closely with maternity matrons, the Lead Education Midwife, HR Department and Trust recruitment team.
  • Coordinate local recruitment activities to ensure the recruitment process is undertaken in accordance with Trust policy.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development, implementation and review of the maternity department recruitment and retention strategies and objectives.
  • Provide support within a 24/7 work system as required (expectation to work 1–2 weekends a month, clinically).
