Job Overview

Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist within the Persistent Pain Management Service at Abergele Hospital, with required runs of clinics at other central service sites including Rhyl and Deeside.

Responsibilities
  • Act as consultative specialist resource for persistent pain management and link with all members of the health care team within the trust and primary health care team.
  • Develop effective communication strategies to enable inter‑disciplinary working involving highly complex information and manage significant barriers.
  • Lead, supervise and support multidisciplinary audits in the field of persistent pain management.
  • Educate patients (and their family) on management of their pain and techniques used to control their pain on a daily basis.
Qualifications & Experience

Highly experienced nurse with pain management experience, autonomous case‑load handling, collaborative multidisciplinary team working and experience of group working would be beneficial.
