A leading NHS Trust in Carshalton is looking for a qualified physiotherapist to join their Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Team at St Helier Hospital. The role involves providing a high standard of physiotherapy service mainly to trauma patients and participating in a 7-day service. Candidates must have a degree in Physiotherapy and relevant HCPC registration. The position includes supervisory responsibilities and contributions to departmental research. Static within the Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Team at St Helier Hospital, this post involves caseloads primarily in trauma, notably # NOF rehabilitation, with some involvement in repatriation of major trauma patients from SGH. Our Hip Fracture Unit at St Helier Hospital is nationally recognised as the best performing hip fracture unit in the London area for 10 consecutive years and placed in the top 5 % of the UK. The ESTH Fractured Neck of Femur Pathway has received national acclaim and recognition; the physiotherapy team are a vital part of this pathway. A prioritised 7‑day service is offered, ensuring all patients receive rehabilitation from day 1 post‑op.
This post involves regularly contributing to the prioritised 7‑day service through rostered weekends.
