Banding: Band 6
Location: London
Salary: £44000 to £48000 per annum
Start Date: ASAP
Working hours: Full time/ part time
As an experienced Speech & Language Therapist, this is an excellent opportunity to work with a range of SLCN across several PMLD specialist schools in Merton. This multidisciplinary, much respected, and Borough Excellence Award-winning team delivers statutory work, EHCP assessments, and a unique buy-back service providing therapy, training, support, and advice across Merton schools.
Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:
You will assess, diagnose, plan, and deliver interventions for pupils with PMLD needs. You will offer advice and support to mainstream colleagues in developing inclusive provision, either formally through consultation and training or through direct work in schools and settings. You will provide explicit explanations to parents and carers about therapy recommendations, and support and train junior members of staff.
