A mental health service provider in Kingswood seeks a Specialist Recovery Practitioner to coordinate care and deliver interventions to service users. The ideal candidate will have experience in mental health, strong coordination skills, and a commitment to community care. This role offers opportunities for professional development, including training in Structured Clinical Management. Applicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
The South Glos Recovery Team (South) has a Specialist Recovery Practitioner role within our supportive and friendly team.
The team is based in Kingswood and covers a geographical area across South Gloucestershire, including Emerson's Green, Staple Hill, Hanham, and other suburban areas around the ring road.
This is a wide geographical area with limited access to public transport, so a car is essential. The team works closely with the Recovery Team in South Glos North, and some travel across the patch may be required.
There is an opportunity to develop your skills through new training in Structured Clinical Management and Standard Care and Discharge packages, which are being rolled out across the South Glos Recovery teams. A robust supervision program is in place to support staff. We are increasing our therapeutic offer to service users and welcome applicants who are keen to develop their skills in this area.
The role involves care coordination of a caseload of service users under secondary mental health services and the coordination and delivery of evidence-based interventions. This includes commissioning packages under the Care Act.
We welcome applications from qualified clinicians with experience working with people who have acute and enduring mental health needs. If you are looking to further your community experience, we would love to hear from you.
We will also consider recently qualified staff who have completed their preceptorship. Mental health community experience gained during a Year 3 student placement will also be of interest to us.
We are AWP (Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust) a diverse organisation with over 5,000 dedicated staff providing inpatient and community-based mental health care.
We provide services from a range of locations to approximately 1.8 million people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon, across the county of Wiltshire and in parts of Dorset.
Our outstanding people promote mental health and wellbeing. The expertise and resources within AWP are dedicated to a person-centred approach for those who use our services and for all employees. We recognise that happy and fulfilled employees give better care.
At AWP we actively encourage applicants from all backgrounds; we are particularly keen to encourage applications from people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, those with disabilities and from the LGBTQ+ community. We want people to bring their unique blend of experiences, backgrounds, perspectives and knowledge to AWP, as diversity makes us stronger.
