A mental health service provider in Bristol is seeking a Specialist Recovery Practitioner to deliver high quality recovery-focused interventions. The role involves working within a multi-disciplinary team to assess service users and implement recovery plans. Newly qualified social workers are encouraged to apply, with opportunities for career development and progression to higher band roles after successful completion of training. This position can be full-time or part-time.
We are recruiting for a Specialist Recovery Practitioners with the North Bristol Assessment and Recovery Team.
We are a welcoming and supportive team based in The Greenway Centre. We cover the Northern area of Bristol localities and support a diverse local population presenting with complex mental health and social care needs.
We are looking for a Specialist Recovery Practitioner with a passion for delivering high quality recovery focused interventions in a community setting.
We can consider applicants for both full time (37.5hrs) and part time positions.
This post is open to newly qualified social workers. In line with trust policy, all newly qualified social workers will be recruited initially at Band 5 level, regardless of advertised role banding. All NQSWs are expected to successfully complete their ASYE within 2 years of employment, unless there are exceptional circumstances in which case it may be agreed to extend this for a further 2 years.
On successful completion of the ASYE, for which you will be given full support of an experienced Social Worker as well as Divisional Social Work Lead, and peer support from other ASYE candidates, you will then be eligible to progress to a Band 6 position.
If you have been appointed to an advertised Band 6 role this will be an automatic progression, following confirmation of your successful completion. If you have been appointed to a Band 5 you will then be eligible to apply for a subsequent Band 6 vacancy.
The post holder will focus on high quality assessment of service users and delivery of focused recovery based interventions. You will be required to contribute towards the planning, implementation and review of care alongside a multi-disciplinary team.
Applicants will have a commitment to working with service users creatively towards their identified recovery goals and to promote choice and self-management.
All Specialist Recovery Practitioners may at times be required to undertake both assessment and care coordination dependant on the needs of the team.
