Band 6 Senior Registered Mental Health Nurse

We are searching for an experienced Senior RMN to join our dynamic team on the Isle of Wight, UK. What you will do
  • Provide evidence-based care and manage a caseload using the Care Programme Approach, ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Conduct assessments and develop personalised care plans for individuals.
  • Lead and facilitate therapeutic group sessions and deliver interventions based on the stepped care model.
  • Coordinate within multi-disciplinary teams to provide cohesive and comprehensive interventions.
  • Line manage and support Band 5 nurses, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
  • Ensure timely hospital transfers in accordance with the Mental Health Act when necessary.
  • Work some weekends as part of a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the service.
Qualifications required
  • Registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • Evidence of recent Continuing Professional Development and compliance with NMC revalidation.
  • A relevant teaching or mentoring qualification.
Experience required
  • Extensive experience within the mental health sector.
  • Proficiency in delivering specialist interventions, such as CBT, motivational interviewing, and counselling techniques.
  • Experience in supervising and managing staff effectively.
