We are seeking to recruit a dynamic, organised and enthusiastic Band 6 Practice Nurse to join our friendly, vibrant and fast paced organisation here at Regional Medical Facility, RAF Cosford.
This role is offered at 37.5 hours per week. Requests to work flexibly and/or part time will be considered, taking into account business needs. Please note the salary will be pro-rata where part time hours are undertaken.

Thepost holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary primaryhealthcare teamdelivering primary healthcare nursing includingelements of occupationalhealth.
The role will involve working alongside theBand 6 (B6) Practice Nurse and Senior Medical Officer within the medicalfacility (MF) and will be a focal point for Primary Health Care nursing issues within area of practice.
You must be able to work unsupervised andprovide nursing care to the MF population at risk.
Thepost holder will hold anindividual case load, and through consultation identify, assess, and diagnosepatients with complex health needs, minor injuries, minor illnesses, andspecific diseases withintheir level of competence.
You will provide specialist high-qualityperson-centred care whichalways considers peoples safety, privacy and dignityusing advanced clinical knowledge that is evidence based.
You will be responsible for the delivery of appropriate treatment, screening, and advice to patients within their professional competence and inaccordance with Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) clinical guidelines andprotocols.

Further Information
All employees joining Ministry of Defence who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a 6-month probation period (unless otherwise advised) effective from the employment start date.
Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is security check.
Access to the NHS pension scheme is available to the successful candidate.
