What you will do
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, functional, and psychosocial needs following orthopaedic surgery or injury.
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to improve activities of daily living, mobility, and independence.
  • Provide interventions to address functional limitations, including upper limb rehabilitation, strength training, and adaptive techniques.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physiotherapists, surgeons, and nurses, to deliver coordinated care.
  • Support patients and families with education, advice, and strategies for managing recovery and preventing re-injury.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment, splints, or home modifications to support safe and independent living.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records in line with NHS and professional standards.
  • Contribute to service development through audits, quality improvement initiatives, or staff training.
Requirements
  • HCPC registration is essential.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience within the orthopaedics specialism.
  • Being a car driver is preferable to facilitate easy travel to the varied work locations.
