Main duties of the job

To ensure the provision of a comprehensive and professional physiotherapy/rehabilitation service for entitled personnel. This includes undertaking highly skilled and specialist work in the musculoskeletal (MSK)/sports and training injury areas.

Job responsibilities
  • Perform highly skilled physiotherapeutic assessment of patients referred by Consultants, GPs and other healthcare professionals with diverse presentations, complex and acute/chronic physical and psychological conditions, multiple trauma, and sports injuries. Use clinical reasoning skills to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis.
  • Formulate, develop and deliver a specialised individualised treatment programme using evidence‑based practice, manual assessment and appropriate clinical reasoning.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to ensure informed consent for assessment and treatment, good understanding of their conditions and maximise their rehabilitation potential. Patients may have barriers to communication e.g. English as a second language.

There is no requirement to deploy; you will form the continuity of care required by our patients when based at home.

The sift will be completed within 10 working days of the vacancy closing date. Interviews will be held on a date to be confirmed.

Please note the salary will be pro‑rated where part‑time hours are undertaken.

Access to the NHS pension scheme is available to the successful candidate.

The post does NOT offer relocation expenses. Non‑standard move applicants will be eligible for the full package, subject to eligibility.
