  • Handle telephone and email enquiries, providing clear information and signposting as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, scan and upload documents, and manage correspondence.
  • Prepare clinic lists and administrative paperwork to support clinical teams.
  • Ensure the reception and waiting areas are safe, organised, and presentable at all times.
  • Assist with office supplies and administrative stock management.
  • Provide support in managing distressed or anxious patients.

Join our friendly and dynamic Urology Diagnostic Unit at St Albans City Hospital as a part-time Band 3 Receptionist (22.25 hours per week), where you'll play a vital role in supporting patients through their diagnostic journey.

We're looking for an organised, approachable, and confident individual to provide an exceptional front‑of‑house service, manage patient bookings, handle enquiries, and work closely with our clinical team in a fast‑paced but supportive environment.

Main duties of the job

Job responsibilities
