About the role

A part‑time opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic physiotherapist to join a friendly and forward thinking Outpatient Physiotherapy department, based at our Jacketts Field, Abbots Langley site.

You will be part of a busy, friendly Outpatient Physiotherapy Department, where you will be supported, in this role, through a well‑established supervision process. Robust training support will be provided.

Key responsibilities
  • Assist physiotherapy colleagues in delivering face‑to‑face direct patient care and delegated class/group based clinical activities.
  • Work in an outpatient‑based setting, supporting physiotherapy colleagues (musculoskeletal and pelvic health), assisting patients to complete treatment, teaching and progress individually and in groups, and preparing the environment and equipment.
  • Maintain stock and equipment levels including stock take, cleaning, recycling and reordering.
  • Support admin & clerical staff with telephone enquiries, referral registration, appointment booking, clinic diary management, discharging, filing, photocopying/printing.
  • Assist with and share receptionist duties for the department.
  • Participate in extended hours and 7 day working pattern, once/if implemented.
  • Provide admin support (as requested) to the private patient physiotherapy service, if/as appropriate.
  • Assist in chaperoning, where appropriate, following relevant training.
  • Deliver Total Knee Replacement Classes, Lower Limb Classes, Wrist Classes, pre and post prosthetic limb amputee classes and any additional groups or classes introduced in the future.
Working hours and benefits

The post holder will work 15.5 hours per week. The service operates Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with some staff working extended hours as required. Flexibility in start and finish times will be discussed with the successful applicant. We offer a variety of flexible working options.
