Overview

Senior Backend Architect · Fully Remote · £120,000-£160,000 · English & Russian Speaking

I'm currently working with one of the biggest and most successful trade-tech businesses who have massive plans to build brand new Tech, Data & Delivery teams in 2025. This has come off the back of a hugely successful 10+ years where they have established themselves in multiple countries and picked up numerous awards within the industry.

They partner with some of the biggest global FinTech companies and process lots of different data variants across the industry. They are looking for a Backend Architect to contribute to the security, efficiency and scalability of the core system used across the company from both a product & infrastructure angle. Basically be the go-to person for everything Architectural across the business. They are looking for senior experience, a varied set of skills and technologies and the ability to lead from the front. If you come from a FinTech background great, but not essential!

This role can be fully remote but they do have an office in London and they are looking for people with Russian & English language skills which will help bridge the communication gap across various global teams.

Role Responsibilities

• 10+ years backend development experience.
• 5+ years experience in a similar architectural role.
• Essentials: Python OR Golang OR Java, OOP Design, Multithreading, SQL.
• Additional: Kubernetes, PHP, Cloud Infrastructure - AWS/Azure, DevOps.
• Good collaboration skills and ability to work across global teams.
• Lead the design, selection, integration and performance of various products.
• Set the tone for high code-quality standards and documentation.
• Confident Russian & English language skills.
• Happy in a remote setting or coming into the London office.
• They sponsor and provide VISA support.
