Job summary

A leading technology recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Ops Engineer to design and manage secure cloud infrastructure. This role involves utilizing Terraform and automation scripts in an agile environment, leading cloud migration projects, and enforcing security policies. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure services, Terraform, and CI / CD pipelines. A remote position with a competitive day rate of £300 – £500 and a contract duration of 12 months.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise with Azure services (compute, networking, storage, identity, monitoring).
• Strong proficiency in Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
• Hands-on experience with Python and PowerShell scripting.
• Solid understanding of Zero Trust principles and cloud security best practices.
• Experience building CI / CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar tools.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Agile delivery mindset, including the ability to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform and automation scripting.
• Lead and support cloud migration projects, ensuring scalability and compliance.
• Implement and maintain CI / CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Enforce cloud security policies including RBAC and policy-as-code.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver solutions in an agile environment.
• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot Azure environments for reliability.
• Partner with security teams to drive cloud security automation.
