Qualifications

  • Unrestricted right to work full time in the UK.
  • UK resident for the last 5 years.

We are currently recruiting for a Female Security Supervisor

42 hours per week

12 hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off basis working days, nights and weekends

Your Time at Work

Presenting at all times, a smart, alert, visible and commanding security presence at the premises of our clients, to perform aviation security tasks such as :

Security & operational responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead security officers during shifts, allocating duties and ensuring tasks are carried out correctly
  • Manage daily operations including staff deployment, break cover, sickness, and shift handovers
  • Ensure compliance with airport security regulations, G4S policies, and relevant legislation
  • Monitor and oversee security systems such as CCTV and access control
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security breaches in a calm and professional manner
  • Ensure all security activities meet the required service level and client expectations
Administration & reporting
  • Complete accurate incident reports, daily logs, and operational documentation
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and risk assessments are followed
  • Record and elevate any operational issues or concerns to management
  • Maintain clear communication during shift briefings and handovers
Team leadership & support
  • Provide guidance and support to security officers on shift
  • Monitor staff performance and address conduct or presentation issues
Identify training needs and support ongoing development

Carry out welfare checks and ensure staff follow uniform and behaviour standards

Client & stakeholder communication
  • Act as a key point of contact for airport management and other stakeholders
  • Liaise with emergency services when required
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance checks
Service delivery & improvement
  • Ensure contractual security requirements are met consistently
  • Identify areas for improvement in security operations and team performance
  • Support management in maintaining high standards of service delivery
Other duties include
  • Bag searches
  • Body searches and pat downs on female passengers and crew
  • Plane guarding
  • Aircraft searches in accordance with DfT / CAA regulations
  • Local operating procedures.

To be considered for employment with G4S in this role you must be able to meet the following minimum requirements :

  • Unrestricted right to work full time in the UK for a minimum period of 12 months.
  • Must be a UK resident for the last 5 years.
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Good customer service / communicating skills.
  • Must be able to pass the CRC check.
  • Must be able to pass all required training.
  • Have a five year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self- employment or full and part time education during that period.
  • Physical requirements include being able to be on their feet for extended periods of time, plus being able to work in outdoor weather environments.
