Automotive Manufacturing Team Leader

Location: Coventry
Salary: £34,000 - £44,000
Rotating Shifts: AM 6:00 am – 14:00 pm (early finish on Friday at 13:10 pm); PM 14:00 pm – 22:30 pm (early finish on Friday at 18:20 pm)

The Role
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production staff, ensuring high levels of performance and engagement.
  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations, including scheduling, workflow optimisation, and task delegation to meet production targets.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure product integrity and compliance with industry standards.
  • Identify areas for process enhancements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices.
  • Promote a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and leading by example.
  • Monitor production metrics and analyse data to track efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and report progress to senior management.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to team members to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to automotive manufacturing processes.
What we are looking for
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within automotive manufacturing or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.

  • A degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline is preferred but not essential.
