As a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Apprentice Mechanic, you’ll train to maintain and repair the essential vehicles and machinery that keep airport operations moving — from electric and hybrid equipment to heavy‑duty diesel vehicles and 80‑tonne aircraft tractors. You’ll gain real experience from day one while working toward a recognised Level 3 qualification.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 07:00AM - 15:30PM
Hands‑on learning from experts Work side‑by‑side with experienced GSE engineers who will mentor you as you develop your skills.
Formal technical training You’ll complete a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician qualification, giving you a strong foundation for a long‑term engineering career.
Work on a huge variety of equipment From cars and HGVs to specialist airport vehicles and massive aircraft tractors — no two days look the same.
A dynamic airport environment You’ll be right at the centre of airport operations, where teamwork, quick thinking, and adaptability are essential.
